Day 1 – Hoi An to Hue
Approximately 150 km; riding time depends on stops and conditions.
Leave Hoi An Ancient Town and travel north through Da Nang before climbing Hai Van Pass. The road opens to coastal views, then descends towards Lang Co and Hue. Your guide plans regular breaks and adapts the route to visibility and traffic.
Visit a coastal viewpoint and, when accessible, a local fishing area. Continue to Hue for the first night. Any visit to the Lady Buddha peninsula depends on the day’s road plan and may require extra time.
Day 2 – Hue to Khe Sanh
Approximately 160 km on the direct route; detours add distance and riding time.
Leave Hue after a short look at a historic site if opening hours and the schedule allow. Continue towards Quang Tri and Highway 9, travelling through towns and rural landscapes. This is a day for thoughtful breaks and historic context.
Stop at a selected memorial or bridge where access permits, without trying to fit every distant site into one day. Reach Khe Sanh for the night. Vinh Moc Tunnels can require a substantial detour and must be agreed in advance.
Day 3 – Khe Sanh to Phong Nha
Approximately 200 km; riding time depends on road and weather conditions.
Ride north on sections of the western Ho Chi Minh Road through mountain passes, forested valleys and small settlements. This longer mountain day needs an early start and flexible rest stops. The landscape changes as the route approaches Quang Binh.
Visit the Khe Sanh historic area if open before setting off. Stop for lunch and photographs at safe places, then finish in Phong Nha at the agreed drop-off point. Cave visits are separate unless specifically included in your booking.
Easy Rider – Ride Behind a Local Guide
Your guide drives the motorbike and you travel as a passenger. No riding experience is needed. For self-ride, ask us to confirm a suitable bike and riding documents accepted in Vietnam. A private car is available only when that booking option is confirmed.
