Full-Day Da Lat Countryside Easy Rider Tour

The order and duration of the stops may change depending on weather, road conditions, seasonal farming activities and attraction opening hours.

Meet your local Easy Rider guide at approximately 8:30 AM. Before departure, your guide will introduce the route, provide a helmet and explain how to sit safely and communicate during the ride.

Leave central Da Lat and travel south towards the pine forests and lake area surrounding Tuyen Lam.

Make the first stop near Tuyen Lam Lake, a large freshwater lake surrounded by pine-covered hills. Enjoy the cool morning air and take photographs from a safe lakeside viewpoint.

Continue through the southern countryside towards Chicken Village, traditionally associated with the K’Ho community. The route passes vegetable farms, flower-growing areas, pine hills and small rural settlements.

Continue farther south through open farmland and highland countryside towards Pongour Waterfall. Compared with the roads near central Da Lat, this section includes longer stretches of riding. Walk from the visitor area towards the main viewpoint at Pongour Waterfall. The waterfall spreads across a broad rock formation, creating several natural levels during periods of suitable water flow.

Leave Pongour and travel through rural districts towards the Nam Ban area. This is one of the longer riding sections of the day, passing agricultural land and small roadside communities.

Visit Linh An Pagoda, a Buddhist complex near Elephant Waterfall. Walk through the temple grounds and see its large Happy Buddha and Lady Buddha statues while learning about local Buddhist practices.

Elephant Waterfall should currently be presented as a viewpoint from the pagoda area. Direct access to the waterfall cannot be guaranteed unless local authorities have officially reopened the path.

Stop for lunch at a local restaurant in or near Nam Ban. Your guide can help explain the menu and recommend suitable Vietnamese dishes. Vegetarian and vegan choices may be requested, but guests should inform Rew Rew Adventures in advance about allergies or strict dietary requirements.

Visit a working silk factory and follow the production process from silkworm cocoon to silk thread and woven fabric. Observe the equipment used to unwind the delicate fibres and learn about the role of silk production in the local economy.

Meet local producers and learn how Vietnamese rice wine (Happy Water) is fermented and distilled. Continue to a cricket farm to see how crickets are raised as a source of food. Adult guests may be offered rice wine, while fried crickets may be available for those who wish to try them. Both tastings are optional.

Stop at a coffee plantation or countryside coffee venue overlooking the surrounding hills. Learn how coffee is grown, harvested and processed in the Central Highlands.

Depending on the season, visitors may see coffee flowers, green cherries, ripe fruit or drying beans. A cup of traditional Vietnamese coffee or weasel coffee may be purchased separately.

Complete the loop by following the mountain road over Ta Nung Pass towards Da Lat. This section offers winding roads, forested hills and changing views as the route climbs back towards the city.

Easy Rider – Ride Behind a Local Guide

Ride as a passenger behind an experienced local guide. Your guide operates the motorcycle, manages the route and shares information at each stop.

No motorcycle licence or previous riding experience is required for passengers.

Self-Ride Motorbike Option

Experienced riders may request a self-ride motorbike and follow the guide along the planned route.

The tour covers a long distance and includes mountain bends, rural traffic and changing weather. This option is not suitable for first-time riders.

Most of the route follows paved roads, but surfaces can vary between city streets, highways and rural roads. Riders should expect mountain bends, hills, buses, trucks, agricultural vehicles and occasional roadworks.

Easy Rider passengers must keep their feet on the passenger rests, remain seated while moving and follow the guide’s instructions.

Self-riders must:

Rain and fog can reduce visibility and make roads and waterfall paths slippery. Rew Rew Adventures may change the route or shorten a stop when conditions affect safety.

Do I need motorbike experience for the Easy Rider option?

No. You travel as a passenger behind a local guide who operates the motorcycle. You do not need a motorcycle licence or previous riding experience.

How long will I spend on the motorbike?

The tour includes approximately four to five hours of riding, divided into several sections. Regular sightseeing, walking, photography and lunch stops break up the journey.

Is Pongour Waterfall entrance included?

The current website states that entrance fees are included. Rew Rew Adventures should reconfirm exactly which attraction tickets are covered before publication.

Can visitors walk down to Elephant Waterfall?

Direct access should not be guaranteed. The current itinerary should present Elephant Waterfall as a viewpoint from the Linh An Pagoda area unless the official access path has reopened.

Is lunch included?

No. The group stops at a local restaurant, where each guest pays for their own meal and drinks. Vegetarian and vegan dishes can normally be requested.

Can beginners choose the self-ride option?

The self-ride option is not recommended for beginners. The route is long and includes mountain roads, rural traffic, bends and potentially wet conditions.

What happens if it rains?

The tour can normally continue in light rain with suitable rain protection. The guide may adjust the route or schedule if heavy rain, fog or unsafe road conditions develop.
