3-Day Saigon to Da Lat Via Cat Tien National Park Tour

Day 1 – Ho Chi Minh City to Cat Tien National Park

Estimated distance: 150–170 km | Riding time: approximately 5–6 hours

Meet your Easy Rider guide at your hotel and receive a safety briefing before leaving Ho Chi Minh City. As the traffic begins to fade, the journey continues through the countryside of Dong Nai Province, where plantations, local settlements and smaller roads replace the urban landscape.

The pace is flexible, with regular stops for photographs, refreshments and short breaks. You will arrive in the Cat Tien area in the afternoon and settle into your accommodation near or inside the national park. Your exact accommodation and room category are subject to confirmation.

Along the way, stop at rubber and cashew plantations to learn how these important local crops are grown and harvested. Depending on the season and workshop schedules, you may taste locally grown fruit and see families producing rice paper or preparing tobacco products.

The day finishes at Cat Tien National Park, where you can relax in the quieter forest environment and prepare for the following day’s trekking activities.

Day 2 – Explore Cat Tien National Park

Spend the day exploring Cat Tien National Park, one of southern Vietnam’s important protected forest areas. The programme may include park transport followed by a guided jungle walk, allowing you to experience the tropical forest away from the main roads.

The exact route, including access towards Crocodile Lake or other forest trails, depends on weather, trail conditions, park regulations and the physical ability of the group. Guests should be prepared for heat, humidity and uneven ground.

During the trek, look for native plants, birds and signs of wildlife with guidance from the park team or local guide. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed because the animals live freely in their natural habitat.

In the evening, join a night safari if it is operating and conditions permit. Return to your accommodation in Cat Tien for a second overnight stay.

Day 3 – Cat Tien National Park to Da Lat

Estimated distance: 180–200 km | Riding time: approximately 6–7 hours

After breakfast [Rew Rew to confirm], leave Cat Tien and begin the gradual climb towards Vietnam’s Central Highlands. The scenery changes throughout the day, moving from tropical lowlands to cooler mountain roads, farming communities and highland plantations.

There will be regular breaks during the longer ride. The route is designed to allow enough time for sightseeing without rushing the mountain sections before reaching Da Lat in the late afternoon.

Stop at coffee and tea plantations to learn about crops that play an important role in the highland economy. Depending on local access and operating schedules, the journey may also include a mushroom farm and a visit near a K’Ho ethnic minority community.

Visit Pongour Waterfall and enjoy views of the surrounding highland landscape before continuing towards Da Lat. The tour finishes with drop-off at your hotel in central Da Lat.

Easy Rider – Ride Behind a Local Guide

Travel as a passenger while a local guide drives the motorbike. You can enjoy the scenery without needing to ride yourself. This is the travel style described on the current tour page.

Self-Ride Motorbike Option

Experienced riders can ask to follow the guide on their own motorbike for the four-day route. The motorcycle model, availability, price, fuel, luggage arrangements, required riding documents and insurance conditions must be agreed before booking.

Do I need motorbike experience for this tour?

No riding experience is required if you choose the Easy Rider passenger option. Self-riders must have suitable big-tour experience, valid documents and Rew Rew’s approval before the booking is confirmed.

How difficult is the trekking in Cat Tien National Park?

The planned jungle walk is approximately five kilometres, but the actual route may change according to weather, park access and group fitness. The ground may be wet, uneven or muddy.

Inform Rew Rew before booking if you have mobility difficulties or medical concerns.

Will we definitely see wild animals?

No. Cat Tien is a natural habitat, so wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.

The guide will help you identify birds, plants, animal tracks and other signs of forest life. The night safari also depends on park operations and weather conditions.

Where will we stay during the tour?

The existing programme includes two nights in the Cat Tien area. The exact property, room category, private-bathroom arrangement and single-room supplement must be confirmed by Rew Rew before booking.

What happens to my luggage?

Small and medium-sized luggage can normally be secured to the motorbike. Large suitcases should be stored in Ho Chi Minh City or transferred separately.

Pack only what you need for the three-day journey in a compact, weather-resistant bag.

Is the tour suitable during the rainy season?

The tour can operate in light rain, and rain protection may be provided. However, trekking routes, waterfall access and riding times can change because of heavy rain or unsafe road conditions.
