4-Day Saigon to Da Lat Easy Rider Tour via the Central Highlands

Day 1 – Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Xoai

Estimated distance: 160–180 km | Riding time: 5–6 hours

Leave Ho Chi Minh City and travel towards Cu Chi before continuing through the countryside. Busy streets gradually give way to quieter roads, rubber plantations and small rural communities.

Explore the Cu Chi Tunnels and learn how the underground network was used during the war. Continue through plantation areas and arrive in Dong Xoai in the late afternoon for your first overnight stay.

Day 2 – Dong Xoai to Dak Mil

Estimated distance: 180–210 km | Riding time: 6–7 hours

Follow rural roads towards the Central Highlands, passing cashew farms, forested landscapes and communities near the Cambodian border. This longer riding day includes regular breaks for photographs and refreshments.

Visit a local war memorial, cashew-processing workshop and bamboo-making village when operating. Taste seasonal tropical fruit along the way before arriving in Dak Mil for the night.

Day 3 – Dak Mil to Lak Lake

Estimated distance: 160–180 km | Riding time: 5–6 hours

Continue along scenic sections of the Ho Chi Minh Trail towards the volcanic landscapes of Dak Nong and Dak Lak. Ride past farms, rivers and small villages while learning about local agriculture and fishing.

Visit Dray Sap, Dray Nur or Gia Long Waterfall according to access and weather conditions. Continue to an M’Nong community near Lak Lake, enjoy the sunset and stay overnight in the area. Traditional longhouse accommodation is subject to availability.

Day 4 – Lak Lake to Da Lat

Estimated distance: 150–170 km | Riding time: 5–6 hours

Leave Lak Lake and ride through mountain passes, coffee-growing areas and the cooler landscapes of Lam Dong Province. Stop regularly to enjoy the views and observe how the scenery changes as you approach Da Lat.

Visit a coffee plantation, traditional silk workshop and a local rice-wine producer. See Elephant Waterfall from an accessible viewpoint before completing the journey at your hotel in central Da Lat.

Easy Rider – Ride Behind a Local Guide

Travel as a passenger while a local guide drives the motorbike. You can enjoy the scenery without needing to ride yourself. This is the travel style described on the current tour page.

Self-Ride Motorbike Option

Experienced riders can ask to follow the guide on their own motorbike for the four-day route. The motorcycle model, availability, price, fuel, luggage arrangements, required riding documents and insurance conditions must be agreed before booking.

Private Car Option

Groups who prefer to travel by car can request the same general itinerary  Some motorcycle stops or smaller roads may need to change.

Do I need motorbike experience?

No experience is required for the Easy Rider option. You travel as a passenger while your guide controls the motorbike.

Experience and valid legal documents are required if you choose to self-ride.

Can I ride my own motorbike?

Yes, experienced riders may request a self-ride option. Rew Rew must check your motorcycle licence, International Driving Permit and riding experience before confirming your booking.

How much riding is involved each day?

Most days include approximately five to seven hours of riding, divided by sightseeing and rest stops. Distances and arrival times may change because of traffic, weather and road conditions.

Where will we stay?

The tour includes three nights in Dong Xoai, Dak Mil and the Lak Lake area. The exact hotels, guesthouses or longhouse accommodation will be confirmed before departure.

Are meals included?

Food and drinks are not included unless stated in your final booking confirmation. Your guide can recommend suitable local restaurants and help with dietary requests when possible.

Can we swim at the waterfalls?

Swimming depends on water levels, weather, local restrictions and safety conditions. Guests should follow instructions from the guide and site authorities at all times.

What happens to my luggage?

Small or medium-sized bags can normally be secured to the motorbike. Large suitcases should be stored in Ho Chi Minh City or transferred separately [Rew Rew to confirm].

Can this tour operate from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City?

A reverse itinerary may be available upon request. The route, accommodation and final price must be confirmed separately.
