Ho Chi Minh Loop to the Mekong Delta: 4-Day Easy Rider Motorbike Tour

Day 1 – Saigon to Ben Tre

Estimated distance: 150–170 km | Riding time: 4–5 hours

Leave Saigon and ride south through Long An and Tien Giang, where busy streets gradually give way to rice fields, fruit farms and quieter country roads. Regular stops allow time to enjoy the changing scenery of the Mekong Delta.

Visit a local museum, rice mill, Dong Tam Snake Farm and Vinh Trang Pagoda before continuing towards Ben Tre. Explore a tropical fruit garden and take a boat trip along the river before checking into your homestay.

Day 2 – Ben Tre to Tra Vinh

Estimated distance: 100–130 km | Riding time: 3–4 hours

Travel deeper into the coconut-growing region of Ben Tre along small roads, local ferries and peaceful waterways. This relaxed riding day offers more time to observe daily life in riverside communities.

Take a rowing boat through narrow canals and visit family workshops producing coconut candy, rice paper, rice noodles and woven sedge mats. Stop at a traditional brick-making workshop and a Khmer pagoda before staying overnight in Tra Vinh.

Day 3 – Tra Vinh via Soc Trang to Can Tho

Estimated distance: 160–180 km | Riding time: 5–6 hours

Continue through the rural landscapes of Tra Vinh and Soc Trang, an area known for its large Khmer community and distinctive Buddhist temples. The route passes rice fields, orchards, waterways and small farming villages.

Visit Hang Pagoda and explore Khmer cultural sites in Soc Trang. Stop at local fruit gardens and community-based attractions when available before continuing to Can Tho, the Mekong Delta’s largest riverside city.

Day 4 – Can Tho to Saigon

Estimated distance: 170–190 km | Riding time: 5–6 hours

Start early with a boat trip to Cai Rang Floating Market, where traders sell fruit and produce from boats on the river. Market activity varies by season and is usually busiest in the early morning.

After breakfast [Rew Rew to confirm], leave Can Tho and ride back towards Saigon. Visit a mushroom or fish farm when available, take breaks along the countryside route and arrive at your hotel at approximately 4:00–5:00 PM.

Easy Rider – Ride Behind a Local Guide

Travel as a passenger while a local guide drives the motorbike. You can enjoy the scenery without needing to ride yourself. This is the travel style described on the current tour page.

Self-Ride Motorbike Option

Experienced riders can ask to follow the guide on their own motorbike for the four-day route. The motorcycle model, availability, price, fuel, luggage arrangements, required riding documents and insurance conditions must be agreed before booking.

Private Car Option

Groups who prefer to travel by car can request the same general itinerary  Some motorcycle stops or smaller roads may need to change.

Do I need motorbike experience?

No experience is required for the Easy Rider option. You ride as a passenger while your local guide controls the motorbike.

Experience and valid legal documents are required for the self-ride option.

Can I ride the motorbike myself?

Yes, experienced riders may request a self-ride option. Rew Rew must check your motorcycle licence, International Driving Permit and riding experience before confirming your booking.

Is this tour a round trip from Saigon?

Yes. The tour begins and finishes in Saigon, travelling through Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Soc Trang and Can Tho before returning to the city.

Are the boat trips included?

Boat trips listed in the confirmed itinerary are included according to the current tour information. Rew Rew will confirm the exact boat routes and any additional charges before departure.

Will Cai Rang Floating Market be busy?

The market is normally most active early in the morning, but the number of trading boats changes by day and season. It remains an opportunity to observe river life, even when activity is quieter.

Where will we stay?

The tour includes three nights in Ben Tre, Tra Vinh and Can Tho. The exact homestays, hotels and room categories will be confirmed before departure.

Are meals included?

Food and drinks are not included unless stated in your final booking confirmation. Your guide can recommend local restaurants and help explain regional dishes.

What happens to my luggage?

Small and medium-sized bags can normally be secured to the motorbike. Large suitcases should be stored in Saigon or transferred separately .
